Its been forever again since I was on Live Journal but I do have a facebook page now. Just listed as Kate Hardesty. I also have a group I just started for all you fans of the new Xmen Origins Wolverine movie to get fan support started behind making a Gambit spin off movie. So pop on over to Facebook and go to Fans 4 Gambit Movie and sign up! Loved Loved LOVED the new movie! Such an improvement over Last Stand and they finally gave us fans some Gambit! Although not nearly enough. Loved Taylor Kitsch in the role, watched some interviews, this guy has the same passion for it as Hugh does for Wolverine and Wolverine was sooo much better in the aspect of the character of Logan then when Bryan Singer was running the show! Anyway, just updated my lj page and hopefully will be back soon!

I am really stoked about this. I have decided I have had enough of being overweight and out of shape and hating what I see in the mirror everyday. Yesterday, a dear friend of mine who is a personal trainer and marathon runner/fitness queen herself, gave me a work out program and introduced me to this fitness site that she and some others have started where I can track my progress and find information, share stories and inspiration with others who have fitness goals.

finally got a working computer again. Wheeee! Now maybe I can get some writing done. I'm really frustrated because I had a bunch of stuff done on my old laptop and the damn thing's harddrive blew and I lost it all. I didnt make any back up discs and there was no way to retrieve it. I've been trying to replicate it on pen and paper since then but I can't seem to get it back. No more laptops, i have a curse against them or something.

havent gotten out to see spidey 3 yet (glad Miakun posted that blog about it now I dont feel so bummed out that I havent gotten out to see it yet) Hell, I havent gotten to see Ghostrider yet either. And for an old school comic geek like me that sucks hiney.

I'm really excited to see a posting on one of the Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child sites that the next book featuring Special Agent Pendergast is coming out in August! Yay! I've been dying to see what happens next ever since I finished Book of the Dead!

I so need a new good novel to get immersed in! I really need something to stimulate my imagination. My brain just feels bogged down right now and some of the movies/games/comics that have come out have been really disappointing to me (like Xmen last stand. It was like watching someone take a holy icon and toss it into a wood chipper. Sorry, ya'all but that's how I felt. I thought it sucked big time)

Been out of the picture for awhile. I havent posted on any sites in forever. I'm hereby swearing off laptops completely, as the last two i've had have broken down constantly and leaves me to beg for time on my son's gaming computer. I'm between computers at the moment but looking to make a job change so that I can actually afford a life. This is going to be the year! I can feel it in my flab covered bones! I took a class to get certified as a flagger and I'm joining the union so I can go stand there and piss people off for a goodly wage and great benefits. I'm also going to lose this weight once and for all. it was a real wake up call when we moved into a new apartment where the closet doors are mirrored. God what a slap in the face! I was like "wow, whose that fat old bag standing there!"

Sitting in an office behind a desk has not been kind to me. No sir-ree. yech!

So now instead of sitting on my big arse all day getting cursed at by people about their cable bill, people can try to run me over and flip me off as they drive by. >8)

I want to introduce my friends to my two new kitties! The white one is Kami and the grey tabby is Kazi. They just joined our family and they are 12 weeks old! They are quite a handful and love to play. Kazi is He-Who-Must-Defeat-The-Evil-Socks and often drags them into laundry baskets for a cage match. Kami was going to be named Pounce because he will pounce on anything, but his favorite target are your feet when you are trying to sleep.

Hola peoples of the world! Are we having fun yet? Oh yeah! I'm really having fun, my son's bestest buddy in the world, my surrogate son Nathan has moved in with us and we are having so much fun! We got another computer, so now Jared (my baby boy whos taller then me now) has a new computer, Nathan's using our lap top (he's a gamer too and his wont drive WoW) and he's given me his old one to use so I may actually get some writing done real soon. I keep getting comments on the Kotorfanmedia site on my stories and it's so encouraging when people enjoy what I've written. I hope to start work this summer (time allowing) on an original novel in the hopes of becoming a published author. We shall see.

We are one step closer to forming the band. We are going to start looking for a house with a garage and when I get the money we are going to buy equipment for the band and start these boys with serious musical lessons and vocal lessons. Once we get a house, our other member of the band Jason will move in as well. Then we can get down to some serious song writing and practice. I'm hoping the boys can play again this year at the local SeaFaire festival, the Tour De Terrace. Even if they get three or four songs together, they could put on a show.

Tomorrow is Friday and that means weekend time! Yay! I get so bored some days at work. Insurance work is really repetitive and after 20 years I can do it in my sleep, so it gives me lots of time for my mind to wander and think of new ideas for stories and such. But sometimes it's hard to sit still at a desk all day. I get really ancy some days.

Ugh my tattoo is going through it's "ugly" phase where it scabs over. It itches like crazy, but you can't scratch it. Maddening. So, I've decided to wait to post a picture untill it heals over and gets the final touch up done. Then it can be all beautifullness instead of bumpiness.

I have finally done it! I went last night and got my very first tattoo! It was so much fun! My son got his eyebrow pierced, his friend pierced his tongue and me and another guy got tattoos. It was a real adventure! I will have to take a picture and post it. Its just a little four leaf shamrock with vines but I've already got plans to add to it. I'm thinking about making it go all the way around my lower leg (this one is just above the left ankle) with different Celtic symbols joined together with knotwork.

I didnt hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would, I was pretty surprised. Of course, that just means it's more tempting to get more as money allows.

It was so worth it, sometimes even us old birds have to go out and do something kinda wild and crazy!
